I realize the difference is not significant but I think many potential consumers might just hear S and X and think the Mizuno shaft fitting doesn't work.

This is really funny to me because I got fitted by Mizuno's Optifit and had the exact same numbers as he did and I had almost the exact same response when they were telling me about the shafts.

They told me to get an X soft stepped too but the numbers for the S weren't that much different. So with almost the same attitude I said "whatever, there's not much difference man just give me the S so I don't have to wait 3 weeks for my order.

I think if anything he was showing how benefical the Mizuno fitting system is for ams. That fitting system isnt the best for him because those guys are spec'd out on computers and with more tech than that little box.
