Which nocturne skin

We also really like the new color scheme that comes with Elderwood Nocturne. It has a lot of dark purple, blue, and black. For instance, maybe on the edges of his blades. He gets some cool new effects for his abilities.

Furthermore, his fear beams look like the shadows of thorny vines reaching out for his target. When he recalls, he has a cool, subtle effect of changing a lively white butterfly in a dark, blighted one. The Elderwood Nocturne skin has some really great chromas. We personally prefer the Pearl Elderwood chroma. The stark white looks like bone and just makes him look even creepier.

The other Noc chromas are great, though. If you want to run with Elderwood Noc, check the others out! Hextech is the runner-up in our Nocturne skins review. Being only available from Hextech crafting makes it a very rare skin as well, for those who like to only run legacy and other rare skins.

You could also note the new particles on his hands, or I suppose it is also ok to think of them as part of the red glows for his body. He seems to have those glowing particles around his hands in the other skins as well. That would be included under new particles for his abilities, so to speak. The animated blades are noticeable when standing idle or walking so they are part of those animations.

However, we agree that they are a rather noticeable extra so maybe we should specifically note it. We used not to mention legacy skins as they were most often unavailable. Hi zero, I have a huge problem about some skins. My two jungle mains, Skarner and Nocturne both have epic legendary skins and I am not sure which one to buy. I do play nocturne a little more but the eternum nocturne skin seems really dated and old.

I like some of the particle effects though. But battlecast skarner looks like a great skin too. It is a little more new, and the abilities just look better. I have sand skarner, but i honestly do not think that it is as good as battlecast skarner. So which one should I choose? Sadly I cannot buy both of them, since I want to have some self-control. Firstly, if you play Nocturne more then perhaps you should get a legendary skin for him. It might not have as many extras, like additional quotes, as newer legendary skins.

However, the core of what makes a legendary skin special is present and the theme is well presented. That hardly matters if you do like the skin; as you mention. In that case, ignore the rating. We agree that a legendary skin at a time is enough.

You may change your mind in the meantime or have a clearer view of what you like in a legendary. Check some videos, see it in action as much as possible and buy the skin you do like. Alright thanks for your opinion. I will decide later today, but I am personally leaning toward the skarner skin. I just see so many things about it that I love, and even though I will probably keep on playing nocturne, I will probably just get a smaller skin, like frozen terror, or haunting nocturne instead.

Just be mindful that you like what you buy. Hope you enjoy the skin. The closer you can get is Void Nocturne. You could consider Eternum but it has more hightlights of colour and a legendary is not comparable to a chrome.

Perhaps in the future but it seems that chromas for classic skins have been abandoned. Not considering price or availability, what would be your 2nd best skin for Noc I would assume Eternum would be 1st in this scenario?

Although Nocturne might not have the largest set of skins, what he does have is pretty impressive if I do say so myself. His edgy darkness thematic has been cranked up a few pegs.

And the new purple hue present on his blades makes him look a bit more mystical. The only real diminishing factor is the splash art. It makes it very obvious that the skin is a decade old. The splash art has been improved, besides being released in the same year, and the overall theme is overhauled to a certain point.

The in-game model matches up to the splash art pretty nicely, sporting a predominantly yellow-ish color along with his signature blue blades. The animations are the same as the original, which kind of breaks the theme a bit… but for only RP it is still a good deal.
